Terms
Written in plain English, and kept as short as honesty allows. Reading letsgetbetterlife.com means accepting what follows.
What the essays are
Everything published here is general reflection and general information, written in good faith for a wide readership. The essays reason about how habits, attention, learning, everyday money behavior, and working life tend to operate, and they are written to be read slowly by someone who will decide for themselves what applies.
What the essays are not
Nothing on this site is professional advice of any kind. It is specifically not medical advice, not psychological or mental-health advice, and not financial advice. Reading a page here creates no professional relationship of any sort, and no statement on this site should be treated as a substitute for a qualified person who knows your circumstances.
Where a subject touches health or money, treat what you read as one more thing to think about before you speak to someone qualified, never as the reason to skip that conversation.
Your decisions stay yours
You know your own situation, your obligations, and your tolerance for risk, and none of that is visible from here. Responsibility for what you choose to do after reading remains with you. To the fullest extent the law permits, the publication and its editors accept no liability for any loss or harm arising from action taken, or not taken, on the basis of anything published on this site.
Accuracy is worked at, not guaranteed
Care is taken with every claim, and drafts lose the sentences that cannot be supported. Even so, errors survive, understanding shifts, and a page written once can age. The site is offered as it stands, with no warranty that it is complete, current, or uninterrupted. If you find a mistake, write and it will be looked at and, where warranted, fixed in place.
Copyright, and how to quote
The essays, the page text, and the design of letsgetbetterlife.com are the property of this publication, and all rights are reserved.
Quoting a short passage is welcome and needs no permission, provided the quotation is clearly marked as a quotation, credited to Let's Get Better Life, and accompanied by a link to the page it came from. That covers the ordinary uses: a paragraph in an article, a few lines in a class handout, a passage shared with a colleague.
Reproducing an essay in full, or a substantial part of one, is not permitted without written permission. The same applies to republishing a lightly rewritten version, translating a piece for another site, or collecting the essays into any other medium. Permission is often given when asked; requests go to contact@letsgetbetterlife.com.
Links out are not endorsements
Some essays link elsewhere because a source or a further reading is genuinely useful. Those sites are outside this publication's control, and a link is not an endorsement of the site, its owners, its products, or any claim it makes. Once you follow a link you are subject to that site's own terms.
Advertising
Essays here may appear alongside advertising that Google selects and serves. What an advertiser says in its ad is the advertiser's own claim, not one this publication has checked or stands behind, and an ad sitting next to an essay recommends nothing. The ad is the one element of a page the editors did not choose.
The site may change
Essays are edited when they can be improved, corrected when they are wrong, and occasionally retitled, moved, or withdrawn. Pages may become unavailable without notice, and no page is promised to stay at a given address indefinitely. If something you relied on has moved, the contact address below will find it faster than guessing at a URL.
Changes to these terms, and questions
If these terms are revised, the new version appears on this page and applies from the moment it is published. Questions about anything above, including permissions, go to contact@letsgetbetterlife.com.
